El Aniversario de los 100 años

1983 was a year of great joy as the Parish celebrated its 100th birthday. A fundraiser began for the purchase and construction of a new pipe organ and for the installation of an elevator, both of which were installed in the churchbuilding over the next few years. The pipe organ is reminiscent of the early years of the church and is a symbol of hope the parish has for the future. The organ of St. Joseph remains one of the finest church organs in the city of  Denver.
The conerstone of the Church building was laid on November of 1889. The celebration of the Parish’s 100th birthday will be relived as we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the laying of this stone. In preparation for this historic anniversary, an elevator has been installed in the church, further plans are being made to restore the decaying limestone of the church building, to repair the roof of the towers, and lastly to paint the outside of the church building. The laying of the conerstone was layed in November of 1989.
