Rev. Mario Ramírez, S.T.B.

Fr. Mario Ramirez, S.T.B., was born on December 25th in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. He is the seventh child of nine children. His parents are Mr. †Gildardo Ramirez and Mrs. †Angelina Gomez. Fr. Mario graduated with a degree in Accounting from San Luis Potosi University. After graduating he joined the missionary order of the Legionaries of Christ where he received several  years of formation. He studied his Novitiate in Sao Paolo, Brazil. He graduate with a degree Humanities in Salamanca, Spain, and later started his Philosophy studies in Rome, Italy and finished his studies in New York, US. After much consideration, Fr. Mario decided to stay in the United States to serve the Hispanic community in the United States. He finished his priesthood formation at St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver were he received his Bachelor degree in Theology and his masters in Divinity. Fr. Mario was ordained to the Deaconate on September 26th of 2005 and later on to the Priesthood on December 3rd, 2005.

Fr. Mario’s first assignment took place at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Parish in Fort Collins. In 2006 he was appointed as a Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of Peace Parish in Greeley. On June 2008 he moved to Breckenridge, CO as an Assistant. Since June 2009, Fr. Mario has been the administrator at St. Joseph Parish in Denver. In June of 2010, Fr. Mario was appointed Pastor at St Joseph Parish. This appointment was Fr. Mario’s first assignment as Pastor.
